(If the imām pronounces the final Salaam before completing the prayer), سَـبَّحَ‏ ‬بِـهِ‏ ‬مَـنْ‏ ‬خَـلْفَهُ (he who is [praying] behind him should say to him: Sub˙aana-l-laah). (If he [the imām] acknowledges it [his error]), كَـمَّل صَـلاَتِـهِ  (he should complete the prayer) وَسَجَـدَ (and he should perform the prostration for forgetfulness) بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ (after as-Salaam).

(If he (the imām) has doubt about what he has been told), سَـأَلَ‏ ‬عَـدْلَـيْـنِ (then he should ask two trustworthy people). (Speaking is allowed in this case [for those whom the imām asks about  about the possible error]). (However, if he is certain that the prayer is complete), عَـمِلَ عَـلَى يَـقِينِهِ (then he should act according to his certainty) وَتَـرَكَ الْـعَدْلَـيْـنِ (and disregard the opinion of the two trustworthy people),  إِلاَّ أَنْ يَـكْثُرَ النَّاسُ خَـلْفَهُ (unless there are a number of people behind him [who attest to his error]), فَـتَرَكَ‏ ‬يَـقِينَهُ (then he [the imām] should abandon his certainty) وَيَـرْجِـعُ إِلَـيْهِمْ (and rely on them [those are who are certain about his error, for their judgement in the matter]).
